“Prioritise your physical and mental wellbeing with slow mindful yoga”
Now based in Thames, with offerings in both Thames & Titirangi (West Auckland) Sarah has been offering slow, mindful yoga classes for 12 years. Benefits include improved nervous system functionality, posture, breathing, mood and self-awareness. Sarah is a certified Mental Health Aware Yoga Teacher and classes are trauma informed. She is passionate about supporting adults ready to make positive lifestyle changes to feel more resilient, embodied and present.
Our busy lifestyles create stress, burnout and disconnect from the body. I believe yoga should be accessible and moderate. My classes are a calming space to start to build your self-care toolkit.
FAQs
I’m not fit or flexible, is yoga for me?
Yes! Yoga helps shift stiffness and physical tension. This is slow, mindful movement, not a workout.
I am a beginner, which class is best?
Start with Slow & Mindful classes to get to grips with the basics.
Can I attend class if I am pregnant?
Please get in touch with Sarah to have a chat before coming along.
What pace are the classes?
We start with preparatory movements to warm the muscles & joints. Then movement is slow and steady. There are longer holds towards the end of the class and some time lying down in relaxation. This is not a dynamic, flowing style of yoga.
I am feeling anxious / depressed and worry I will feel overwhelmed in class.
Sarah is a trauma-informed teacher with mental health training. Classes are intentionally safe and supportive for all students. Students experiencing overwhelm can take a break or leave quietly at any time.
I don’t like to be physically adjusted in a class. Is that ok?
There are no hands-on assists in classes to respect individual boundaries.
